Ubuntu accesses a Linux server through samba

Samba not only supports communication between Windows and Linux, but also between Linux and Linux.

 

The following is how Ubuntu 10.4 accesses a Linux server through Samba: (the premise is that samba has been set up on the Linux Server)

 

Enter:

 

Sudo apt-Get install smbfs

Sudo mount. smbfs // 12.23.111.83 (address of the server to be accessed)/mydir (directory of your folder under the server)/mylocal (local folder, you need to mount the Samba server to this folder) -o User = (ID), iocharset = utf8 (or EUC-KR)

 

Example: sudo mount. smbfs // 12.23.111.83/mydir/mylocal83-o User = alvininkorea, iocharset = utf8
