Ubuntu installation MySQL appears fatal error:could not find mysqld processing

Error message:

#./bin/mysql_install_db–user=mysql

FATAL ERROR: Could not find mysqld

The following directories were searched:

 /usr/libexec  

 /usr/sbin  

 /usr/bin  

If you compiled from source, you need to run ' make install ' to copy the software into the correct location ready for Operat Ion.

If you is using a binary release, you must either is at the top of the level of the extracted archivem or pass the–based IR option pointing to the location.

Workaround:

Scripts/mysql_install_db–user=mysql–basedir=/usr/local/mysql

(Here MySQL is the user name used, Basedir is the MySQL installation directory)
