Ubuntu forgets the Administrator Password

I accidentally forgot the administrator password in Ubuntu, which is really big.

A solution is provided:

1. Restart the Ubuntu system and Press ESC to enter the GRUB menu interface, for example:

 

2. Select recovery mode. (second) and press enter to enter the. Recover menu, for example:

Note:Many blogs are written like this:Select recovery mode. (second) Press e to edit the startup parameters, change the RO single to RW single init =/bin/bash, and press Enter.

However, I do not see strings such as RO single.

 

3. Select root and press Enter. The root terminal will appear below:

 

4. However, when the password of the wangqh account is changed, the following error occurs: authentication token manipulation error.

5. If this error occurs, enter:

[Email protected]: ~ # Mount-No remount, RW/

[Email protected]: ~ # Mount-

Then modify the user name. Restart OK.
