Ubuntu Install Adobe fonts

Because of the frequent use of latex to write documents, the font requirements of their own more stringent, so downloaded Adobe's Chinese fonts. The following shows how to install.

Ubuntu font directory is stored in the/usr/share/fonts directory, you can see that the directory has 4 directories,

$ ls/usr/share/fonts/cmap TrueType type1 X11

We create a new Adobe directory under the TrueType directory to store the Adobe Chinese fonts that need to be installed and copy the downloaded fonts to the directory.

$ sudo mkdir/usr/share/fonts/truetype/adobe$ sudo cp ~/downloads/adobe/*.ttf/usr/share/fonts/truetype/adobe

After that, the font information is generated,

$ sudo mkfontscale $ sudo mkfontdir $ sudo fc-cache-f-V

To view the installed fonts,

$ fc-list :lang=zh-cn/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/uming.ttc: ar pl uming tw  mbe:style=light/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/ukai.ttc: ar pl ukai cn:style=book/ usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/ukai.ttc: ar pl ukai hk:style=book/usr/share/fonts/ Truetype/arphic/ukai.ttc: ar pl ukai tw:style=book/usr/share/fonts/truetype/droid/ droidsansfallbackfull.ttf: droid sans fallback:style=regular/usr/share/fonts/truetype/adobe/ adobekaitistd-regular  (v5.010) .otf: adobe kaiti std,adobe  Italic  Std,Adobe  kaiti std r,adobe  Italic  std r:style=r,regular/usr/share/fonts/truetype/adobe/ adobeheitistd-regular.otf: adobe heiti std,adobe  blackbody  STD,ADOBE HEITI STD  R,Adobe  blackbody  STD R:STYLE=R,REGULAR/USR/SHARE/FONTS/TRUETYPE/ADOBE/ADOBESONGSTD-LIGHT.OTF:  Adobe Song Std,Adobe  Song Body  std,adobe song std l,adobe  Song Body  std l:style=l,regular/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ adobe/adobefangsongstd-regular  (v5.010) .otf: adobe fangsong std,adobe  imitation  std, adobe fangsong std r,adobe  Imitation  std r:style=r,regular/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ arphic/ukai.ttc: ar pl ukai tw mbe:style=book/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/ Uming.ttc: ar pl uming tw:style=light/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/uming.ttc: ar  pl uming cn:style=light/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/uming.ttc: ar pl uming  hk:style=light
