Previously, I used to access the Internet through a router in windows. Thanks to the advanced nature of VMware's bridge model, I can access the Internet in Ubuntu without making any changes. But now it is changed to the ADSL dial-up connection, and the original settings are not good.
1. Set vmnet8 to automatically obtain IP addresses, automatically obtain DNS servers, and enable it.
2. Set the "local connection" of the operating system in your virtual machine to automatically obtain IP addresses and DNS servers,
(In the VM, right-click "Local Connection" and double-click "Internet Protocol" to see if it is automatic! Change the fixed IP address here !)
3. Of course, the VM's Internet access method is selected as Nat.
Right-click the virtual machine you want to set and select "set" (because there are more than one virtual machine), select "Ethernet" in "hardware", and change the network connection on the right to "nat-OK.
4. Click "edit" in the menu bar and select "Virtual Network Settings". Remove "automatic bridging" (remove hook ),
Select "DHCP" to enable the DHCP service, click "start"-application, and then enable the "Nat" function in the same way.
5. The two most important services must be enabled: VMware DHCP service and VMWare NAT service.
The procedure is as follows:
Start --- set -- Control Panel --- management tools --- Service
Make sure that the VMware DHCP service and VMWare NAT service are enabled.
