A while ago, for Honeypot, an implementation software package from the Internet needs to be compiled and run in Linux. I wanted to use a virtual machine. Later I thought that I had never used a real Linux operating system. On the rise, I went downstairs to find an installation dish. I found the Ubuntu 8.10 installation disc downstairs. The operating system is also a Linux kernel, and it is free of charge.
A disk partition is deleted in windows. After the installation, the installation is performed on the blank partition. At the beginning, I also used custom installation. On that blank partition, I created two zones, swap and ext, and installed the Chinese interface. However, it is annoying that there is no Chinese Input Method after entering the operating system. Think about it too. Ubuntu is made by foreigners and not made in China. Besides, it is free. How can it be so demanding. In Windows, I found an article on surfing the Internet and installing the Chinese fcitx input method. After that, I had to access the Internet for a whole day, but I still had to enter Chinese characters. I only saw the icon of the fcitx Input Method flash on the screen with the CTR + Space key, and I don't know where the error was. I 've been searching for it for half a day on the UBUNTU Forum, and I haven't seen any better solutions.
In the Ubuntu standard tutorial, the default language of the operating system is English during installation. After the system is installed and connected to the Internet, the scim Chinese input method can be automatically downloaded. During the second installation, the Guided using free space option was used to install the English operating system. Later, the interface was changed to Chinese by default, and then the Internet access was good.
But the heartache is coming. I have a lot of free space on the E drive in windows. Now I have no space left. It is hard to divide more than GB space. Thank God, the things in the E disk are still there. Later, I checked the disk usage in Windows Management and found that there were two non-Windows System regions and a blank area, and the disappearance of the 17G became a blank area !!!
No. You cannot continue to create a disk. It's too trivial to store too many items in the disk. I created the blank area into a logical area and put some files in it. However, the painful things once again come --------- after restarting the Windows system, the black screen shows GRUB boot error, error17, I realized that the blank area was originally useful. Unfortunately, it's too late.
I thought that reinstalling the Windows system could solve the problem (I had a deeply optimized installation disc on hand, which saved me a lot of trouble). After the result was reinstalled, it still looked the same way, I checked it from the Internet. It turns out that the boot information was written into the main boot area during Linux installation. fdisk/MBR can be used to write the existing primary boot program to the Main Boot Sector. This problem was solved by using the DOS program in the installation disk.
However, I have reinstalled windows, and many of the previous configuration information is gone. Alas, it seems that Ubuntu is not easy to use. I still use a virtual machine.

In fact, I was a newbie to Linux at the time. Now I can look back and see some low-level errors. Now I am playing Ubuntu 10.04 very well.
