Ubuntu: Use Alien to swap DEB with RPM

Article Title: Ubuntu: Use Alien to swap DEB with RPM. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.

DEB and redhat RPM of Debian are convenient software installation packages in linux. Alien can be used to implement the interchange between the two.

1. Install alien

In ubuntu, alien has been added to the source. You can use sudo apt-get install alien for installation;

Alternatively, you can download and install,Click here.

2. Convert RPM to DEB

Sudo alien test. rpm

3. Convert DEB to RPM

Sudo alien-r test deb
