I'm sure Simon Wardley, the current software service manager of Canonical, has a big impact on this direction. His long-term investment in open-source standards in the cloud computing field makes the selection of these tools very reasonable. Platforms included in Koala are likely to change over the next few months, but the Open Software philosophy of the Shuttleworth, Wardley, and Ubuntu communities will take the lead. This is important to the future of cloud computing. At present, other open source code plans include "Built-in" Amazon images (not just RedHat), while Eucalyptus is a research plan, further production is required to make full use of production.
