Ubuntu10.04Alpha2 Performance Benchmark Test

LucidLynxUbuntu10.04's second Alpha test version has just been released, Phoronix website on its 64-bit version of the performance test, the comparison objects include Ubuntu9.10 official version and Fedora132010-01-13 development version. The vast majority of internal and external components of Ubuntu10.04Alpha2 have been updated and upgraded, including Linux2.6.32Kernel, GNOME2.29.4, and XServer1.7.

The second Alpha test version of Lucid Lynx Ubuntu 10.04 was just released. The Phoronix website inspected the performance of its 64-bit version. The comparison objects include Ubuntu 9.10 official version and Fedora 13 2010-01-13 development version.

Most of the internal and external components of Ubuntu 10.04 Alpha 2 have been updated, including Linux 2.6.32 Kernel, GNOME 2.29.4, X Server 1.7.4 RC2, GCC 4.4.3, ubuntu 9.10 official versions include Linux 2.6.31 Kernel, GNOME 2.28.1, X Server 1.6.4, and GCC 4.4.1. The latest development version of Fedora 13 is Linux 2.6.32 Kernel, GNOME 2.29.4, X Server 1.7.3, and GCC 4.4.2. All the three systems use the EXT4 File System by default, and the original settings are maintained in the test.

The test hardware platform is a Lenovo ThinkPad T61 notebook with Core 2 Duo T9300 processor, 4 GB memory, Hitachi 100 GB HTS72201 hard drive, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140 M 190.53 MB graphics card, and driver version, supports 3D acceleration.
