1.2 install VMware 9 and Ubuntu 12.04
The two software installation steps will not be described here.
1.3 install VMware Tools
Call Terminal
Or press CTRL + ALT + T to call the terminal.
After calling the terminal, you can enter a command in the terminal.
Go to the VMware Tools Folder
$ CD/Media/vmware \ tools/
Decompress the vmwarls-ls-xxxx.tar.gz package to the/tmp directory. xxxx indicates the version number.
$ Tar zxvf VMwareTools-xxxx.tar.gz-C/tmp/
Go to the/tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/directory.
$ CD/tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/
Install
$ Sudo./vmware-install.pl
Then press Enter.
1.4 ubuntu12.04 share configurations with Windows folders
The premise for this step is that the VMware Tools tool has been installed.
Open Virtual Machine settiins:
Configure as shown in the following figure. In this way, the/mnt/HGFS/share folder in Ubuntu corresponds to the D:/share folder in windows.
Go to the/mnt/HGFS/share/directory and check the files under ls. We will find the files under D:/share.
$ CD/mnt/HGFS/share/
$ Ls
1.5 configure static IP
By default, after the vmwarevm and Ubuntu 12.04 are installed, the IP address is dynamically obtained. The IP address may change every time it is started, so it is necessary to configure a static IP address for it.
First, confirm the network configuration with Nat, determine the vmnet8 subnet address, and open the virtual network editor.
Make sure that the vmnet8 IP address on the Windows host is configured192.168.159.1.
Open the terminal in ubuntu12.04 system.
Here, because the direction keys of VI under Ubuntu will change to ABCD (this problem will be solved below), we will first edit it with gedit (note that gedit can only be used in the graphic interface ).
Edit/Etc/Network/interfacesFile.
$ Sudo gedit/etc/Network/interfaces
Add the following lines to the end of the file.
Auto eth0
Iface eth0 Inet static
Address 192.168.159.188
Gateway 192.168.159.2
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Network 192.168.159.0
Broadcast 192.168.159.255
DNS-nameservers 192.168.159.2
Run the following command to make the network settings take effect.
$ Sudo/etc/init. d/networking restart
1.6 install sshd
Install
$ Sudo apt-Get installopenssh-Server
Start
$/Etc/init. d/ssh start
Restart
$/Etc/init. d/ssh restart
Close
$/Etc/init. d/ssh stop
1.7 securecrt client connection ubuntu12.04
In this way, you can run the command under secuecrt.
1.8 if you enter the direction key in Ubuntu, the solution will be ABCD.
In ubuntu, if you enter the direction key in VI, it will be changed to ABCD. This is a pre-installed Vim tiny version in Ubuntu. Install Vim full version to solve this problem.
First uninstall vim-TINY:
$ Sudo apt-Get remove vim-common
Install Vim full again:
$ Sudo apt-Get install Vim
1.9 install vsftpd
Install
$ Sudo apt-Get install vsftpd
Edit the configuration file/etc/vsftpd. conf
$ Sudo VI/etc/vsftpd. conf
If no VI is used, you can use gedit in the graphic interface.
$ Sudo gedit/etc/vsftpd. conf
Open the following comments.
Local_enable = Yes
Write_enable = Yes
Local_umask = 022
Restart vsftpd
$ Sudo/etc/init. d/vsftpd restart
1.10 editplus: use ftp to edit files on Ubuntu.
Configure an FTP account:
You can use ftp to access the jjl user's home directory and edit the files under it.
Click Backup options
You can also place the files under the shared directory and edit the files under the shared directory through editplus.
1.11 C ++ Development Environment Installation
$ Sudo apt-Get install build-essential
$ Sudo apt-Get install cmake
$ Sudo apt-Get libboost-Dev
$ Sudo apt-Get libboost-test-Dev
1.12 change the default startup text character Interface
Change the grub configuration file/etc/default/GRUB
Grub_cmdline_linux_default = "quietsplash"
Replace with grub_cmdline_linux_default = "text"
Save and restart sudo Update-grub.
On the text character interface, if you want to return to the graphic interface, you can use the following command:
$ Sudolightdm start
