I am an Asus F81se series computer that was originally installed with Ubuntu10.04. I was bored at the weekend and wanted to replace the system with ubuntu12.04. I downloaded the 12.04 installation package from the ubuntu official website, after a USB installer is installed and the system is burned to the USB flash drive, the following error always occurs: CannotallocateresourceforEISAslot1Cannotallocateresour

MyselfAsus F81se SeriesIn the beginning, Ubuntu 10.04 was installed on the computer. It was boring during the weekend. I wanted to replace the system with ubuntu 12.04, and downloaded the 12.04 installation package from the official ubuntu website, after a usb installer is installed and the system is burned to the usb flash drive, the following error always occurs when the usb flash drive is run:

Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 1
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 2
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 3
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 4
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 5
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 6
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 7
Cannot allocate resource for EISA slot 8
At first, I thought there was a problem with the downloaded installation package or a problem with the usb installer. After changing the number of times, the result was still useless. Then I searched the internet for the cause of the problem, then I saw a post about installing the system as explained by Niu Ren. Now I want to share with you:
When the Asus computer is turned on, press F2 to enter the bios settings, selectSecurityAs shown in:
Press the up or down button on the disk to move the cursorI/O Interface SecurityOption. Press enter to enter:
By default, all the options here are UNLOCKED. Set the last option New Card Interface to LOCKED so that you can access the system, someone mentioned in the post that setting the Wireless NetWork Interface to LOCED is helpful for installation, so I set it like this. I didn't study whyNote: Do not set the ODD Interface and USB Interface to LOCKED to disable the USB and optical drive functions.
After installing the system, set the New Card Interface to LOCKED. Otherwise, ubuntu 12.04 will not be able to start.I don't know why, but I'm still studying it. The rest should be set to UBLOCKED. At this point, it's basically okay to install the system, I wish you an early installation of ubuntu on your own Asus small version.
