Ubuntu users have also become a product. The Ubuntu12.10, which will be released next month, will display Amazon ads. Ubuntu12.10 pre-installs Amazon and UbuntuOneMusicWeb applications and displays them in the user's start column by default. Amazon's shopping search results are integrated into UnityDash. This allows Canonical to share revenue from Amazon through user consumption. Although similar practices are controversial, Canonical confidence is for 12.10 users
