Check that the shared folder exists      4. Change permissions for a shared directory       chmod 777 samba     5. View     &NB Sp;windows   Start---"network----" \\192.168.1.4\samba       If you can't access       1. View the status of the Samba server       service SMBD status      Print out the following information, stating normal       SMBD Start/runn ING, process 7868       If it's not printed       Check if the/etc/samba/smb.conf file is correct       PATH =/home/ gec/samba      Path folder is created.
