The following is the beginning of landscaping configuration:

Installation Theme tool:GNOME tweaks (Ubuntu18.04 Software Center is also enhanced, you can go to the Software Center to download)

sudo apt-get updatesudoinstall Gnome-tweak-tool

When the installation is complete, open tweaks:

Modify the button position to the left:

To show or hide icons on the desktop:

Remove an exclamation mark that cannot be modified on the shell:

Execute command

sudo Install gnome-shell-extensions

When the installation is complete, open tweaks and select the "Extensions" option

Set "User themes" to on

When you turn on the "appearances" option, the shell's exclamation point is gone.

Now that you have completed the installation configuration of the tool, the following theme beautification

1. Install the GTK theme

Links: Click to open link

Click on the "Files" tab and click on the file name to download

You can see that there are a total of 6 compressed files, respectively, packaging a variety of topics, each file name has a "2", the "2" means that the compression package has two topics.

I chose gnome-osc-hs--2themes.tar.xz (the first compressed file) to download

To decompress:

Xz-d Gnome-osc-hs--2themes. Tar . XZ tar xvf gnome-osc-hs--2themes. tar. XZ

There are two folders in the folder that were extracted

The two folders are two themes, moving them to /usr/share/themes/ .

Open the previous tool tweaks (Chinese is called "optimization"), under the "Appearance" option you can select the theme that you just installed, after installation:

Just two folders is two themes, these two themes from the name of the only transparent in front of a not, meaning that there is no transparency effect. The appearance style has been modified by now.

2. Modify the icon

Download in the Red box

After unpacking, place the folder in the /usr/share/themes/ directory.

Go to tweaks for application:

The effect is as follows:

4. Set the boot animation

Execute command:

VI /etc/alteernatives/default.plymouth

As shown, the Default.plymouth file specifies a logo folder that specifies an execution script. The logo and script are executed with this file when booting. Then make this logo folder and script as we want to modify the boot animation.

Start Animation topic Link: Click the open link

To unzip after downloading:

Move the extracted files to the /usr/share/plymouth/themes/ directory

And then go fix /etc/alternatives/default.plymouth .

Do a backup first:

sudo MV /etc/alternatives/default.plymouth/etc/alternatives/default.plymouth.bak

And then modify it into:

5. GDM (GNOME Display MANAGER,GDM) Theme

The so-called GDM theme is the theme of the login interface

Effect:

After unpacking the compressed package:

How to modify the login interface style:

The style of the login interface is configured in /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/ubuntu.css .

(in the package downloaded above, this ubuntu.css file is not available from the system)

There is such a line of code in/USR/SHARE/GNOME-SHELL/THEME/UBUNTU.CSS:

The login interface of Ubuntu18.04 is rendered using CSS files. So if you just want to replace the background of the login interface, the system comes with the CSS file specified in the image file to modify the location of their own images of the absolute directory on the line. Of course, we can also modify the CSS file to render the results you want, let your login screen cool some. In our extracted SetAsWallpaperV1.3, there is also a script file that reads as follows:

The purpose of this script is to blur the wallpaper you are currently using, then put it on ~/pictures/gdm_look.jpg, and after executing the script, you will have one more gdm_ in your ~/pictures directory. Look.jpg file, this file is the image that is currently used for the blur processing of wallpaper.

Then ~/pictures/gdm_look.jpg is copied to the/usr/share/backgrounds/directory, and then look at this diagram:

The CSS file provided in this package is made from the login page wallpaper, that is, after the script is processed and copied to the/usr/share/backgrounds gdm_look.jpg.

The above is the principle of modifying the login interface, the operation is as follows:

sudo CP /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/ubuntu.css/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/ubuntu.css.backup

Replacing the system's own/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/ubuntu.css with the UBUNTU.CSS

Copy the Setaswallpaper script file to the ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts/ directory and modify the permissions

sudo chmod +x setaswallpaper

Then restart Nautilus

Nautilus-q when the command is closed

Click "All Apps" in the bottom right corner of the desktop to find "Nautilus"

Modify permissions for/usr/share/backgrounds

sudo chmod 777 /usr/share/backgrounds/

Then go to the ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts/directory to execute the Setaswallpaper script. (After executing the script your desktop wallpaper may be gone, reset it just fine)

Finally restart the system, put one (mobile phone shot, Pixel is not very high):

6. Modify Topbar

The Gnome-shell theme previously set is Sierra-compact-light, and its topbar is like this

The font is very coarse and wide, slightly ugly, modified:

, more beautiful, the following start to modify:

We use the Sierra-compact-light theme, so we need to go to the configuration file (. css) under this topic for modification

/usr/share/themes/sierra-compact-light/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css

Of course you can also modify Ubuntu default Topbar can't go to the above directory, but should go to Ubuntu default Shell directory, should be modified the following files:gnome-classic.css, Gnome-classic-high-contrast.css, Gnome-shell.css

Go back to /usr/share/theme/sierra-compact-light/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css file to find #panel

To modify the Topbar height:

Bold font to normal font:

Then log off the user again to enter it.

Above.
