I. Ubuntu 7.04 system disc Installation

For beginners, the easiest way is to install the system using the Ubuntu 7.04 CD. If there is no burner, you can find other hard disk installation methods. I will not discuss it here. Why is it not recommended to upgrade from the old system? The reason is that the rp issue is required if the 100% update is successful. I think there is no difference between reinstallation and upgrade. The previous settings can be fully retained, and 7.04 also adds migration tools from other systems (but my Vista is not successful ).

1. Prepare the Ubuntu 7.04 CD.

Download the tutorial for applying for a free Ubuntu CD here: http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2007-05/4360.htm Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn), and then spare the dial. If you have enough patience, you can apply for an official CD here.

TIPS: Generally, you can download a PC (Intel x86) desktop CD. If it is a 64-bit AMD processor, we recommend you download a 64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop CD.

2. Back up data

Skip this step if you have not installed Ubuntu before.

If you do not mount the/home directory separately, we recommend that you back up the directory to a safe place. Other System partitions and software partitions can be ignored, software retention settings are more important than software.

TIPS: If you have built a Web server on your local machine, do not forget to back up the/var/www directory.
