I installed the development environment after Ubuntu7.10 a few days ago and thought it was very useful. It took a lot of effort last night to solve the problem of failure to start tomcat in eclipse under Ubuntu. Today I want to install mysql and build a fully available development environment, I didn't want to use the apt-get command to install it. But I didn't install it twice, so I had to use sudoapt-get to complete security. Then the problem occurs, /the hard disk space in the partition is insufficient and cannot be installed. My hard disk partitions are as follows:

I installed the development environment after Ubuntu7.10 a few days ago and thought it was very useful. It took a lot of effort last night to solve the problem of failure to start tomcat in eclipse under Ubuntu. Today I want to install mysql and build a fully available development environment, I didn't want to use the apt-get command for installation, but the installation was unsuccessful twice, so I had to use sudo apt-get for security. Then the problem occurred, /the hard disk space in the partition is insufficient and cannot be installed.

My hard disk partitions are as follows:

C: 30 GB ntfs
D: 30 GB ntfs
E: 30 GB ntfs
F: 20G fat32
Swap: 1G
/: 3G reiserfs
/Home: 8G resierfs

I plan to split 2 GB from/home to/partition, Because Ubuntu can well support the ntfs format, then try to put the files in/home on a windows disk.

At the beginning, I want to use partion magic8.0 to split it into partitions, because it can be done well in windows and switched to windows XP for viewing. It cannot identify the reiserfs partition format and cannot be completed.

Another way is to see that Ubuntu has its own hard disk partitioning tool on the Internet, so I want to start it from the Ubuntu CD, because I have not installed the CD, so we have to start the ISO file from the hard disk as described in the previous article. This is no problem, go to System> System Administrator> Partition Editor ". After opening it, you will see an interface similar to PQ. If you have used PQ, you will already know how to use it. Right-click the hard disk you want to reduce, select "resize/remove", enter the size of the drive letter after modification, and click the "resize/remove" button below, then modify the disk to be added according to the above operation, and click the Apply button on the top toolbar. you will wait for a while, it took me 24 minutes to move the 2G network. Then OK!

Another point is that the borders of applications in Ubuntu are lost by accident today, including the "minimize", "maximize", and "close" buttons. This is a bug in Ubuntu 7.10.
