The Ubuntu Edge mobile fundraising plan raised $3.4 million on the first day of its release, setting the highest record for Indiegogo. Although all 50 US $80 thousand enterprise packages (including 100 Ubuntu mobile phones) have been subscribed, the overall funding prospects are still not optimistic.

Ubuntu parent company Canonical plans to build Ubuntu Edge mobile phones into a super mobile device integrating PC and mobile phone functions. It has GB of memory and 4 GB of RAM, and is equipped with Ubuntu and Android dual systems, the current situation makes the future of this plan unknown.
