Section II: Creating a database connection

Open Window-> Data bindings Panel



Click the Recordset (Query) to open the Recorset panel, as shown in the following illustration:



Since we have not established a database connection, so the connection column is not content, click Define to create a database connection, out of the screen as shown in the picture.



Click New-〉data Source Name (DSN) to create a fresh connection, and then open the dialog panel for the data source name connection. From the data source name (DSN) bar, you can see the name of the UserInfo name that we created earlier. Instead of opening the data Source (ODBC) dialog box from the Control Panel, you can open the data Source (ODBC) from the Define button here, and then create the same process. Select a good DSN, and then in the Connection Name column to fill in a name, convenient memory can be. Here named UserInfo, click OK after our database connection is done.



Created a good database connection:



There's content in the connection column, Drop-down Select the database connection you just created (userinfo), and then the table column will show you what tables are in your database, as shown in the chart, which shows the UserInfo table we created. Columns represents your data table field, by default all, or by selecting all the fields. Filter and Sort column We don't have it now, we'll talk about it later. After all this has been done, we have created a recordset, and then set up an easy name for this record, both in the Name column. Click OK.
