Problem Description:

Today, the Ubuntu14.04 64 system is installed, and when the root user is enabled to log in, there is no sound when watching the video.

Cause of the problem:

After the default root user logs on after installing Ubuntu, the sound system is turned off by default, so you need to manually start the sound system when you log in with the root user.

How to resolve:

Modify the /root/.profile file to add the following at the end of the file:

PulseAudio--start--log-target=syslog

Save modified disease exit, restart the system.
