The new server gave me a try. I simply recorded the installation and upgrade process and learned from the experts.
When installing Linux AS 4.7, you can choose LVM to easily manage the space, increase or reduce the size of the file system, and choose to install all the services at the end of the installation, select the services to be installed, and disable the sendmail service after installation. This service may greatly affect the server.
Installing Oracle 10 Gb is very easy. After setting the relevant parameters, you can directly install it. There is no problem, but you may encounter the following problems during the upgrade:
Problem 1: An error occurred while upgrading the oracle database. After reading the instructions in English, you must stop all oracle-related services:
$ Emctl stop dbconsole
$ Isqlplusctl stop
$ Lsnrctl stop
Shut down all database instances running in the Oracle home directory, where you need to install the patch set.
You can upgrade the service after you stop it.
Problem 2: After the upgrade, found that the normal startup, startup error: ora-01902 instance termination, force close connection, view the trace file, only to find that the original upgrade to start like this:
SQL> STARTUP UPGRADE
Run the following two scripts:
SQL> @? /Rdbms/admin/utlu102i. SQL
SQL> @? /Rdbms/admin/catupgrd. SQL
After the restart, the system returns to normal.
