Symptoms:
When you find that the "mobile hard drive icon" often disappears for no reason, and then appears yourself.
You can call this phenomenon "power-down" or "off-drive".
It is quite unpleasant to meet this situation.
For example, "Copy large Files" when it is almost finished, it is really "I go ...".
This phenomenon is particularly common in notebooks, where desktops are relatively small.
How to solve it?
Solution:
1. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to conserve power (A)".
From "My Computer" or "computer" or "This computer", open Device Manager.
Find the node "Universal Serial Bus Controller".
Right-click the USB Root Hub property and switch to the Power Management tab.
Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to conserve power (A)".
The other "USB Root hub", "USB Root hub (XHCI)", "Generic USB hub" is the same, repeat the above operation.
The top three is what I know now, you can also right-click the subkey property under the Universal Serial Bus controller node to see if there is a power management tab.
If there is, it is the same.

2. Disable "link power management".
Note: If your PC motherboard chipset does not support the Intel Rapid Storage technology--intel® Rapid Storage technology (intel® rst), this solution is not valid for you, please ignore it.
If the USB device you're having trouble with is not a removable hard drive or a secondary drive inside the console, ignore it, or the dead horse can be a live horse doctor.
If the Intel Rapid Storage technology--intel® Rapid Storage technology (intel® RST) is not installed, please install it.
Open the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Program and click "Performance" to switch to the "performance" interface.
Click "Disable"--"link power management".
Restart the computer to take effect.

Summarize:
Power Management is a curse.
Ps:
If none of the above two solutions solve your problem.
Please try to replace the faulty USB device.
For example, the problem of mobile hard disk, first try to change the root USB cable.
If not, then take someone else's mobile hard drive to try.
If someone else's mobile hard drive is working on your computer, it proves to be a problem with your mobile hard drive or your mobile hard drive box.
Another example of USB mouse This problem, change the mouse to try, believe that smart you should know how to judge the results.
