Description
In bridging mode , VMware's virtual operating system is like a standalone host in a local area network (hosts and virtual machines are in a peer position), and it can access any machine on the network. In bridging mode, we often need to configure the IP address, subnet mask, and so on for the virtual host
The relationship between a virtual system and a host using bridged mode is like two computers connected to a hub, and for them to communicate they need to configure the IP address and subnet mask for the virtual system. If we need to establish a virtual server within the LAN, and provide services for local area network users, then choose the bridging mode.
What we need to know is that in this mode, the IP of the virtual machine is statically allocated, not dynamically generated.
1, virtual machine IP and host IP should be placed under the same network segment
For example: The IP of my host is: 192.168.1.102. Then the IP of the virtual machine should be set to 192.168.1.* form, at this time note that the IP can not be in the same network segment other IP conflicts
2. set subnet mask, consistent with host subnet mask
For example: My subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. You know, the first 3 bytes are identified as network number identification, and the next byte is the host number identification. Now that the virtual machine's IP and the host should be under the same subnet, the Linux subnet mask under the virtual machine is 255.255.255.0.
3, set up the gateway, you can set to the same as the host gateway address, or set the gateway Cheng host IP address
For example: My gateway is 192.168.1.1, then Linux can set its gateway to 192.168.1.1 or set it to Cheng host IP address, which is 192.168.1.102
4, set up DNS, and host DNS is the same can
For example: The host's DNS address is: 192.168.1.1, then the DNS setting of Linux is 192.168.1.1, if you forget to set up DNS, it may cause Linux ping to Internet,
You can only ping its IP address, but when you ping its URL, for example (www.baidu.com), you are prompted not to find host.
The first step:
Open the Virtual network editor, vmvare,-> editor
Modify or add a bridge mode network connection, "Bridge to" this option do not choose Automatic, you can choose your own Internet connection network card, if your notebook has two network card, select the corresponding network card can be. For example, I am wireless internet access, then I chose the wireless card.
Set the network adapter option for the virtual machine and select Bridge mode.
Step Two:
View IP details on window
The IP is: 192.168.1.102 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway is 192.168.1.1 DNS for 192.168.1.1
Then the next step into Linux, GUI or TTY can be. Here, I'll take a look at the GUI.
Select Network, then select Eth0, edit
Set up information such as Ip,subnetmask, gateway
Do not forget, there are DNS to set the OH.
After everything is set up, restarting the Network service, or restarting Linux can also be done.
Well, everything's basically ready, so let's ping it on Windows.
Everything's fine.
Let's ping the host on Linux again.
Everything is fine. Do we have access to the Internet? You can ping the www.baidu.com try it or open it directly in the browser to see it!
Perfect solution!
After opening Xshell, create a new connection,
Enter the password again, go in!!!
Use bridge mode to surf the internet in Vmvare and use Xshell connection on Windows side
