Use evaluation of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8

 

Today, Microsoft released the IE 8.0 product. I used to install the beta version a long time ago. However, due to stability and interface problems, I uninstalled it. Today I downloaded the official version of IE
8. Some preliminary evaluations were made on this new product.

My test environment is Windows XP
In the SP3 operating system, I used to install IE7 and Firefox, Chrome, and other browsers. I directly upgraded to IE8 IN THE IE7 environment. I downloaded and used IE8 for several hours, and finally had to uninstall the software. The whole process of use was a nightmare, and the stability of the browser was really intolerable, I keep shutting down those crashed tabs, and new tabs crash. Sometimes a new tab crashes. In short, I am not surfing the Internet, the crash tab is closed, and even IE7 does not crash so frequently. When I find that the tab is closed for almost half of the time, I think, if I do not uninstall IE8, I may crash myself.

In general, after my preliminary trial, IE8 is very large and slow, far inferior to Google
The speed of Chrome, the tab color is very ugly and cannot be closed, the extension plug-in is not supported, poor stability, and an ugly close button is added on the toolbar, I don't know whether the IE8 interface settings are temporary work or not. In the past, there were major errors such as Session loss. In short, using IE8 is a nightmare.

The above is the test result in Windows XP.
2003 tests, found that there is no frequent tab crashes, so I suspect that IE8 and Windows XP compatibility problems.

Google Chrome is about to add the extension plug-in feature in the new version. If Chrome adds the extension, then I will switch the main browser to Google
It's time for Chrome.

Update: This article is only a personal evaluation of IE8 installation. It is not universal. IE8 can be fully uninstalled after it is installed in XP. IE7 runs normally after it is uninstalled, you do not have to worry about some adverse consequences after installing IE8. As for the actual running effect, please verify it on your own.
