Use evolution to send and receive Livemail or Hotmail settings

1. Open evolution, select Edit-> Preferences-> Mail Accounts-> Add

name:xxx@live.cn (or xxx@hotmail.com)

Full Name: own name

Email address:xxx@live.cn (or xxx@hotmail.com)

Optional informaction: (Can not fill in)

2. Receiving Email

Server Type:pop

Server:pop3.live.com

Username: With email address, remember to fill in @live.cn or @hotmail.com

Use secure CONNECTION:SSL encryption

Authantication Type:password

Go to the next step

3. Receiving Option

Select only

Check for New message ...

Leave message on server

Go to the next step

4. Seding Email

Server TYPE:SMTP

Server:smtp.live.com

Select the server requires authentication

Use secure CONNECTION:TLS encryption

Authantication Type:login

Username: With email address, remember to fill in @live.cn or @hotmail.com

Go to the next step

5. Account Managerment

Name: Give a random, like xxx@live.cn (or xxx@hotmail.com)

Go to the next step

6. Click "Apply" to complete the account setup
