5.3.1 Instance 2 draw a telephone
Step 1 Create a new graphics file
(1) to start the AutoCAD 2002 system, "ACADISO.DWT" for the template to create new graphics files.
Step 2 draw the basic outline
(1) using the "Rectangle" command, draw 4 rectangles between the point (10,10) ~ (70,90), (17,20) ~ (32,80), (36,63) ~ (66,83) and (38,24) (43,27) respectively as the basic contour, as shown in Figure 5-24.
Step 3 Modify Contour Line
(1) • Now use the "fillet" command to change the four corners of the rectangle to arc-shaped. Select the icon in the Modify toolbar and follow the prompts to:
Command: _fillet |
|
Current Settings:mode = TRIM, Radius = 0.0000 |
|
Select A or [Polyline/radius/trim]: R Enter |
Select RADIUS option to specify radius of fillet |
Specify fillet radius <0.0000>:5 Enter |
Specifies the radius of the fillet to be 5 |
Select A or [Polyline/radius/trim]: P Enter |
Select the polyline option to specify the multiple segments of the fillet operation |
Select 2D polyline:4 lines were filleted |
Select the outermost rectangle in Figure 5-24 |
The results of the revisions are shown in Figure 5-25.
(2) The same procedure as in the previous step, and then call the "fillet" command, with a radius of 6 for the left side of the rectangle in the corner operation, 1 for the radius of the smallest rectangle in the shape of the fillet operation. The result is shown in Figure 5-26.
(3) • Finally, use the "chamfer" command to change the four corners of the upper-right rectangle to a polyline. Select the icon in the Modify toolbar and follow the prompts to:
Command: _chamfer |
|
(TRIM mode) Current Chamfer Dist1 = 0.0000, Dist2 = 0.0000 |
|
Select A or [Polyline/distance/angle/trim/method]: D Enter |
|
|
Select the "Distance" option to specify the chamfer distance |
Specify-Chamfer distance <0.0000>: 1.5 Enter |
Specifies the chamfer distance of 1 to 1.5 |
Specify second chamfer distance <0.0000>: 1.5 Enter |
Specifies the chamfer distance of 2 to 1.5 |
Select A or [Polyline/distance/angle/trim/method]: P Enter |
|
|
Select the polyline option to specify a multi-line line for chamfer operations |
Select 2D polyline: 4 lines were chamfered |
Select the rectangle in the upper-right corner of Figure 5-24 |
The result of the chamfer operation is shown in Figure 5-27.
Step 4 Create phone keys and lines
(1) First use the buttons you have created to generate additional keys. Select the icon on the Modify toolbar and the Array dialog box will pop up, as shown in Figure 5-28. In the dialog box, make the following settings:
• Click the icon, select the smallest rectangle in the plot area as the array object, and return to the Array dialog box. The icon now prompts "1 objects selected (1 objects selected)".
• Select "Rectangular array (rectangular array)".
• Enter 5 in the rows (rows) edit box. In the Columns (column) edit box, enter 3.
• Enter 8 in the row offset (row offsets) edit box.
• Enter 10 in the Column offset edit box.
• Determine the "Angle of array angle" edit box is 0.
When you have finished this setting, click the button to end the array command. Draw the results as shown in Figure 5-29.
(2) Finally invoke the "spline" command to connect the microphone to the host, as shown in Figure 5-30.
Step 5 Save the file
(1) Save the graphic file in the name of "Exam5-2".
