Use of the Hadoop fs-getmerge command

Suppose you have a/user/hadoop/output directory on your HDFS cluster

There is the result of the job execution (multiple files are composed) part-000000,part-000001,part-000002

And then you want to put all the files together. You can use the command: Hadoop fs-getmerge/user/hadoop/output local_file

Then you can use the VI local_file to view the content locally.



Hadoop Fs-getmerge: The user merges all the files under a folder into one file. Seems to be merged into a local file, because you can use VI to view AH.
