(To) Oracle service usage
After Oracle10g is installed, there are usually the following services:
1. OracleCSService
The OracleCSService manages cluster configurations by controlling cluster node members and notifying these Members when to join and leave the node. If you use a third-party cluster configuration software, the cluster Synchronization Service will use this third-party software to manage the relationship information between nodes.
2. OracleDBConsoleorcl
In the oracle Database Console, if you need to use the oracle Enterprise Manager in a browser, start the service.
3. OracleJobSchedulerORCL
The service process of the timer.
4. OracleOraDb10g_home3iSQL * Plus
The Oracle iSQL * Plus service must be enabled only When iSQL * Plus is used on the Web page.
5. OracleOraDb10g_home3SNMPPeerEncapsulator
The SNMP encapsulation service is used for SNMP protocol conversion. Unless you use an incompatible SNMP proxy service, it does not need to be started. The default start type is manual. The service process is ENCSVC. EXE, and the parameter file is ENCAPS. CFG. The default port is 1161.
6. OracleOraDb10g_home3SNMPPeerMasterAgent
The SNMP Service proxy is used to manage the server by the SNMP network management software. Unless you use the network management tool to monitor the database, you do not need to start the server. The default start type is manual. The service process is AGNTSVC. EXE. The parameter file is MASTER. CFG. The default port is 161.
7. OracleOraDb10g_home3TNSListener
Orace listens to the service. If a client needs to connect to the database, this service must be enabled. The service process is TNSLSNR. EXE, the parameter file Listener. ora, the log file listener. log, and the console LSNRCTL. EXE. The default ports are 1521 and 1526.
8. OracleServiceORCL
Database master service, which must be started before Oracle can be used. The naming rule for this service is OracleService + global database name. The service process is ORACLE. EXE, the parameter file initSID. ora, the log file SIDALRT. log, the console SVRMGRL. EXE, and SQLPLUS. EXE.
By default, services such as OracleCSService, OracleDBConsoleorcl, OracleOraDb10g_home3iSQL * Plus, OracleOraDb10g_home3TNSListener, and OracleServiceORCL are self-started. If you do not often perform operations on local Oracle databases, you can set them, this greatly improves the system running speed.
9. OracleMTSRecoveryService, which allows the database to act as a resource manager for transactions in the Microsoft Transaction Server, COM/COM + object, and distributed environment.
