Instructions for use

The map cache button, which is used to generate a cache file for two-dimensional map data, optimizes the browsing effect of the map.

Operation Steps

1. Click the Map Cache button in the Ribbon > Data tab > Generate Cache group.

2. Pop up the Generate Map Cache dialog box as shown below to set the parameters for generating the map cache.

3, the user needs to set the following parameters.

(1) The map information area is used to set the map information that needs to generate the cache. Clicking the Add button in the map information area pops up the Map List dialog box, listing all the maps in the current workspace as a dialog box. The user can select the map to generate the cache with the Choose All or deselect button, and then click the OK button to return to the Generate Map Cache dialog box. Click the Remove button to remove a map that does not need to generate a cache.

(2) the scale bar area is used to set the scale of the map cache. The system provides four commonly used scale bars by default. Users can also click the Add button to add the required scale bar, or use the Remove button to remove the unwanted scale bar. When you need to generate a cache for multiple maps, you can set a scale bar for different maps, and when the user adds a scale bar, you can enter the full name of the scale bar, such as 1:50,000, or just the denominator of the scale, such as 50000, and the system will automatically process to 1:50,000.

   (3)"cache range" zone is used to set the geographic extent of the map data processed by the cache. The application provides the following four ways to set up:

Click the whole map button to use the entire map range as the cache range, and the upper left four text boxes to display the processing range set;

Click the Current Window button to use the scope of the current window as the cache range;

If there is an open map in the Application Map window, the mouse Draw button is available. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the button to determine a rectangular area or polygon area as the cache processing range by dragging the mouse;

If there is an open map in the Application Map window, the Select Objects button is available. Click the button, the program switches to the current map window, select the mouse in the window to click an object or box to select multiple objects as the processing range of the cache.

  (4) "Index Range" zone is used to set the cache scope that needs to be indexed. If you keep the base index range of the pre-cached picture up to two times, you can ensure that the map is chunked in the same way, ensuring that the generated cached picture is not affected by changes in the map extent. The system provides four ways: whole map, current window, mouse draw, select object. See how to set the cache scope for specific operations.

    • fully populated cached pictures : Depending on the requirements, the cached picture generated in the cache range (or index range) that the selected geometry object can set is fully populated. Tick this box to indicate that the cached image is fully populated within the cache, and the item is not checked, indicating that only the range of the selected object is output and the portion of the cache range intersection is not populated, and the output is blank. For example, when a user selects an object, the fully populated cached pictures feature is used and not used. As shown in the following:

Fully populated cached pictures are not fully populated with cached pictures

Caches a picture in the cache range (index range) completely, without selecting any geometry objects.

    • Cache Policy: in the drop-down list, select ISERVER 6R, compatible with is.net, or ISERVER 2.0 cache policy, which enables the generated file to support the publication of the appropriate server product.

  (5) The picture Parameters area is used to set the picture information for the cached result.

Picture type: The type of cached picture saved. The system supports *.png,*.gif,*.jpg of three image formats. The default is *.png format;

block Size (pixels): Gets the sample size, in pixels, of each cached tile file that is generated after the cache has been preprocessed. The application provides eight sizes of 2048*2048,1024*1024,512*512,256*256,128*128,64*64,32*32,16*16 for the user to choose;

picture Compression Rate: The percentage of cached images that are compressed. The image compression rate range is 0-100, the default is 100;

background transparency: When the map is set to a background color, check this option to automatically set the background color to transparent when the map cache is generated, otherwise the map's back color will be preserved.

  (6) The output Settings area is used to set the output parameters of the cache. Includes the following content:

Cache Name: Enter the cache name in the text box to the right of cache name, which is the name of the cache root directory;

Cache Path: Enter the cached output path in the text box to the right of the cache path, either local or network, and the user can select the path by using the browse button after the text box;

Storage Type: The system provides 2 types of cache, compact and original. Compact means a certain compression and encryption mechanism, the data is compressed and encrypted when the cache is established; The original representation does not compress the data, preserving the original information of the model data;

Password: Set the password for the map cache to encrypt, ensure the data security; When loading the map cache, you need to enter a password;

Password Confirmation: Confirm the password you set. Must be consistent with the password set above. If the two input passwords are inconsistent, you will be prompted when creating the cache: "The generation of a two-dimensional map cache failed. Password does not match, please re-enter! "Information.

filters The layers of an object of a specified range: automatically filters the layer on which the object resides, based on the range of selected objects. There may be multiple layers in the map, and the layer on which the object is selected is filtered out. Select the filter layers for objects of a specified range feature, when the application generates the SCI cache file, automatically filters the layer on which the selected object is scoped, otherwise it does not filter the layer.

4. Create End Auto Close dialog box. Tick this box to indicate that the dialog will close automatically when the cache is created, otherwise the dialog will not close automatically;

5. When the settings are complete, click the Generate button to perform a two-dimensional map cache generation operation. Each map cache is stored separately under one folder, such as the cache file generated by the world map in the example stored in the c:/World map folder. cache files of different scales are located in the respective folder, where "world map. Sci" is the cache profile.

Precautions
    1. The map must exist in the current workspace.
    2. Things to do when caching scope settings:

      When the "Default" check box is unchecked, the text box on the bottom right of the lower left becomes editable, so you can enter the desired cache range directly;

      When setting the cache range, you can switch to the current window by clicking on the Open Map window, making the scope of the drawing or selecting the object's range settings;

      When you apply the Select range of Objects button, if the object layer you want to select is not selectable, you can set the layer to selectable State directly in the layer manager and then select the object, or right-click in the Current Map window window to eject the Generate Cache dialog box. Close the dialog box and make the necessary settings.
