 the     bottom edge of the absbottom image is aligned with the bottom edge of the largest element in the same row. The middle of     the absmiddle image is aligned with the middle of the largest element in the same row.

 Bottom the        bottom edge of the image is aligned with the lower edge of the first line of text.  
 the          left image is aligned along the leftmost edge of the page, and the text wraps to the right of the image.
