Third, do not interrupt the task flow

The user wants the current task to be coherent for each action you choose. Page refreshes can cause user experience--or interruption of user's heart flow.

In the book "Heart Flow: The psychology of Best Experience" published by Harper Pernnial, the flow of mind is defined as: When people enter a state of rapt attention, he feels that everything is going to be all right and effortless. ]

1. Three important interactive corresponding parameters

Jakob Nielsen presents the corresponding parameters for the interaction, and the three guidelines are still unchanged 30 years from now. [Miller 1968; Card et al. 1991]

0.1 seconds is the time that the user determines the instantaneous response of the system, which means that the user is acceptable to display the feedback results within that time.

1 seconds is the time limit for the user to keep the stream of thought flowing, that is, the user will notice the delay. If there is no special feedback to the operation more than 0.1 and less than 1 seconds, they will be more unbearable.

10 seconds is the limit time to keep the user focused on the current dialog box. For a long delay, the user will want to process other transactions while waiting for the computer to complete. So you need to show the time that the computer will finish (usually by selecting a progress bar or a percentage), otherwise the user expects a big discount.

In addition, the user's reaction time is not only capped, but also has a lower limit, which means that he is a threshold interval. In the field of visual perception, the human eye looks at objects in the retina, and the optic nerve enters the human brain to feel the object's image. When an object changes (time is less than 0.05 seconds), the impression of the optic nerve on the object does not immediately disappear, so it does not feel the change. This nature of the human eye is called "Change blindness" (blindness). So I added the 0.05-second parameter, based on the above 3 response parameters, as the minimum value to measure the human eye's feedback to the computer. [Note: There are also data showing 0.04 seconds]

Gtalk

My gmail is usually embedded in the gtalk component, when my mouse mobile related friend name, the friend area highlighted, and show the overlay layer to show the friend details. The overlay disappears when the mouse is moved out. The coverage response time for both processes is controlled within 0.1 seconds to respond to user feedback. In addition, when the mouse hover fast (<0.05 seconds) away from the highlight area, the overlay did not disappear with it, why? From the above user minimum reaction time can be seen, under normal circumstances, the user to operate the mouse to move away the time should be greater than 0.05 seconds, if less than this value, most of them under the normal circumstances of the user action behavior. For example: Fingers accidentally touched the mouse and so on. At this time the designer will judge this situation to prevent users from misoperation and still show the coverage information, think of what thoughtful ah!

2. Using Virtual visual effects

When the page load time is too long, use the virtual visual effect to show the user in advance, to meet their expectations, is a good way.

Live image search In the picture loading process of the data is reading the picture with a gray background fill instead of blank, let the user feel that this load time is not too long.

3. Ease the long time operation fatigue
