Using SFTP to transfer files under Xshell

SFTP is an SSH-based file Transfer protocol that provides a more secure and faster file transfer capability than Zmodem.

How to receive files using SFTP:

1. On the local prompt, use the sftp command to log on to the host to receive the file.
Xshell:\> sftp hostname

2. Receive the required files with the get command at the sftp prompt.
Sftp:/home/user21>get filename

How to send files using sftp:

1. On the local prompt, log in with the sftp command to the host where you want to send the file.
Xshell:\> sftp hostname

2. Send the required files with the put command at the sftp prompt.
Sftp:/home/user21>put filename
