Using Genymotion under Linux

Download genymotion http://www.genymotion.cn/on official website

Then do the following:

1. If the machine does not have VirtualBox download one can be downloaded by instruction sudo apt-get install VIRTUALBOX-QT

2. Download the genymotion to do the following:

• chmod +x [INSTALLER_PATH]/GENYMOTION-[VERSION]_[ARCH].BINCD [Installer_path]./genymotion-[version]_[arch].bin

3. perform plug-in installation in Android Studio

There are two ways to install plug-ins:

1.JetBrains Library method

• Start your IDE
• Go to "file/settings" menu
• In the newly opened window, select "Plugins" and then click "Browse repositories..." button (bottom right)
• In the list, click Genymotion, click the "Download and install" button (in the upper left corner)
• Click "Yes" button to start
• Click the "Close" button to leave the Browse Gallery window
• Click "OK" button to leave the Settings window
• IntelliJ requires a reboot, restart by clicking the "Restart" button
  

2. Manual method

• Visit genymotion official download Download Plugin
• Start your IDE
• Go to "file/settings" menu
• In the newly opened window, select "Plugins" and then click "Install plugin from disk..." button (bottom right)
• Select Genymotion-idea-plugin.jar file
• Click on the "OK" button
• IDE request reboot, "Restart" button reboot
