String Function

Returns a string consisting of a specified length and repeated characters.

String (Number, Character)

Parameters

Number

Returns the length of a string. IfNumberIf the parameter contains null, returnNull.

Character

Character of the specified character or string expressionCodeThe first character of the string expression is used to form the returned string. IfCharacterParameters includeNull, ReturnsNull.

Description

If the specifiedCharacterIf the value is greater than 255StringUse the following formula to convert the number to a valid character code:

 
Character mod 256
 

The following example usesStringThe function returns a string of the specified length consisting of repeated characters:
