View the differences between Windows 10 Edge browser and EdgeHTML
In Windows 10, Edge browser is a new feature. Similar to EdgeHTML, EdgeHTML is a new rendering engine developed by Microsoft. It was previously used in Windows 10's IE 11. Some may not know the similarities and differences between the two "edges". Microsoft experts explained this in their blog.
The EdgeHTML version cannot be displayed in the Edge browser of Windows 10 preview 10547.
Kyle Pflug, Microsoft Edge project manager, mentioned in his blog that Edge browsers and EdgeHTML are two different things.Edge is a browser, while EdgeHTML is a rendering engine used to process and render Web page elements.. Since there are essential differences between the two, their updated versions are completely different. If a website depends on the engine version, rather than the browser version, it may cause a website error.
The EdgeHTML engine version can be displayed in the Edge browser of Microsoft blog.
In view of the frequent changes in the EdgeHTML version on the user agent string, Microsoft requires Web developers not to rely on the version number, but to make judgments based on the browser version number. Microsoft will also provide the EdgeHTML version number in the Edge browser settings of Windows 10 in the future.
