VIM basic Commands

Vim Editor is case sensitive

• i editor enters text input mode, ESC exits edit mode
• [Baskspace] Key (or press [ctrl-h] key) to delete text
• [Return] key to the next line
• [ESC] key into command mode, regardless of the mode, just press [ESC] key to enter the command mode

Exit the VIM editor

• : Wq save file, exit Vim Editor
• : W saves the file but does not exit the VIM editor
• : Q Exit Vim Editor
• : q! Exit the Vim editor without saving the file
