Install the View composer component on the vcenter server

View Composer has a very powerful capability to quickly deploy thousands of virtual desktops and save nearly 70% of your storage space for your enterprise.

1, installation view composer environmental requirements

1 View Composer Supported operating system

The View Composer supports 64-bit operating systems with specific requirements and limitations. The View Composer must be installed on the same physical computer or virtual machine as the vcenter server.

2 View Composer supported databases

The View Composer needs to use an SQL database to store the data. The View Composer database must reside on the Vcenter server computer or be available for use by the vcenter server computer.

View Composer can use an existing database server if the database server that is currently available for Vcenter Server is already present and its version is the version listed in the following list. For example, View Composer can use the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 Express instance that is included with Vcenter server. If you do not currently have a database server, you must install one.

The View Composer supports some of the database servers supported by Vcenter server. If you have vcenter server used with a database server that is not supported by View Composer, continue using the database server for vcenter server and install a separate database server for view Composer and view man Ager Database event usage.

Attention

If you created the View Composer database on the SQL Server instance where vcenter server resides, do not overwrite vcenter

3) Installation Prerequisite

View Composer must be installed in Vcenter Server and cannot be installed on other servers, vcenter server does not necessarily need to join the domain, but DNS must point to DNS servers in the domain.
