Enter the/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory to see if there are any ifcfg-xxx files (except Ifcfg-lo),

Nic device not found because the driver does not install properly due to VMware Virtual network card and Linux compatibility issues, the default NIC type is incompatible

Workaround:

Locate our VMware Virtual Machine folder, open the. vmx file, append a setting

ethernet0.virtualdev= "e1000"

Once setup is complete, turn on the virtual machine and use Nmcli con show to see that the NIC settings are loaded
