Ways to delete duplicate data in Excel 2007
If you're dealing with data often, the biggest headache is collecting a lot of information, a bit of duplicate data, and if you find and delete them it's a hassle, but it's easy to solve in Excel 2007.
First step: Find duplicate data
Open Excel First, select the data area you want to defragment, then select Conditional Formatting on the Start tab, select Highlight cell rule/duplicate value in the Drop-down menu, and select an appropriate style in the Duplicate Values dialog box that pops up to highlight duplicate values, without special requirements. Keep the default, and then click OK, and the duplicate values are highlighted.

Step two: Remove duplicate values
After you find the duplicate values, click to switch to the Data tab, select Delete duplicates, and in the Remove Duplicates dialog box, tick the column that you want to remove duplicate values from, and then click OK, and the duplicate data is cleaned up.
