Web development is a process of creating and implementing a new Internet presence, a Web site that can be a very sophisticated, all-encompassing site, or just a blog or one or two of pages. Web development will be a very complex and frustrating process if not well prepared.

Here are a few of the things that we need to consider in this process, which is not a very rigorous process, but a memo that we need to think about at different stages, without worrying about when we go back to doing more analysis in the development phase. You may even need to consider every step of the way in terms of the functionality of the site. For example, when you find that you need a new email form, you may need to do more analysis work.

The steps is as follows:

• Analysis

Demand analysis is the most important step to write down the real needs you have collected and refine them continuously.

The following questions require a clear answer: Who is your visitor? What do they need from the services you can provide? How do they get your product/service? How do you measure your success?

Audience
What is the primary purpose of the website?
Who is the audiences for this website?
How would users learn about the site (than search)?
What is the key reasons users would use the website?
Why would users return to the website?
Content
What would be is the primary content for the website?
What other content elements should exist to support the primary purpose of the site?
How should visitors perceive the website based in its content?
What writing style (professional, friendly, etc.) would be a used to connect with the audience?
What content already exists? What content needs to be created?
Communication
How would the visitors interact with the website?
How would the visitors interact with other visitors?
What primary message should the website communicate?
What other messages is important to communicate?
What is the objectives and goals (both long and short) of the project?

Graphic Design Considerations

Development schedule

• Project Defination

At this stage, you want to articulate exactly what you will be developing. What will be included in the content? How are they organized together? How do all the different parts work? How often are you going to update them? What content are you required to have? (Product description, order information, company history, etc...) ）

At this stage the developer needs to create a copy of the requirement document. It will list all the requirements that can eventually be stitched together into the final product. Start with a change in requirements and keep adding details.

• Design and development

At this point, you should be able to find out what your site will look like, and a visual sitemap can help determine which page you should need and how they are linked together. You can wireframe these page. Once you have these wireframe, you can start graphic design.

• Coding/content Writing

For web Developer, this means writing HTML, CSS.

The filling of content may be the most tedious work, usually, people may find a lack of some pages at this time, such as when the form submitted, there should be a thank you page
