McWiLL is the only domestic high-speed wireless broadband access technology with full proprietary intellectual property rights. McWill is actually a broadband wireless technology developed by Datang Based on TD-SCDMA. It is intellectual property rights owned by Xin Wei, a subsidiary of Datang.
The McWill, developed and developed by trustway, is a derivative product of TD-SCDMA. It integrates narrowband voice and broadband data. It consists of a broadband base station, tower layout, system network management, and wireless broadband terminal. The multi-carrier technology that supports frequency hopping enables communication between base stations and broadband terminals in a non-line-of-sight environment. In a city, the coverage radius of a single base station is 1 ~ 3 km. The transmission rate of the broadband wireless terminal can reach 2 Mbps, and the data transmission rate of the PCMCIA wireless network adapter can reach 1 Mbps.
McWill is currently positioned on fixed wireless broadband technology. The new R5 version is similar to WiMAX in terms of technical performance. McWill features high capacity, large coverage, high bandwidth, support for mobility, switching, roaming, and security.
Key Technologies of the McWill system include smart antennas, software radio, multi-carrier technology, and adaptive modulation.
From the perspective of the service content that McWiLL can carry, it includes Internet access, private network access, VOD service, video conferencing, emergency communication, and other fields, which makes it before and after 3G development, it is capable of providing differentiated services and regional services in the wireless broadband access market.
McWiLL's current situation in China
As a broadband access product with proprietary intellectual property rights in China, Mcwill has received close attention in the industry recently. The voice of "WiMAX is likely to be replaced by domestic standards in China" began to sound in the industry.
At present, China is organizing people to test McWiLL. The first phase is to use the existing network of Datang Xinwei for testing. The latest second round of testing is to test the future version of McWiLL. It is reported that McWiLL has already established a trial network in Chongqing Mobile and Guangdong Netcom, and started trial commercial use. The McWiLL version of R4 is mainly used for data transmission services and has been allocated trial frequencies.
