What is winscp?

Winscp is an open-source graph SFTP client that uses SS h in windows. SCP protocol is also supported. Its main function is to securely copy files between local and remote computers.

File Operations

Winscp can perform all basic file operations, such as downloading and uploading. You can also rename files and directories, change attributes, and create symbolic links and shortcuts.

Connect to a remote computer

UseWinscpYou can connect to an SSH (Secure Shell) server that provides SFTP (SSH file transfer protocol) or SCP (secure copy protocol) services, usually a Unix server. SFTP is included in the SSH-2 package and SCP Is In The SSH-1 package. Both protocols can run on later SSH versions. Winscp supports both SSH-1 and SSH-2.
However, winscp does not support encoding. That is to say, you use winscp in Windows to connect to a Linux machine, because the default encoding of Linux and Windows is different, therefore, you cannot access the above Chinese files or folders (garbled characters will be displayed ).

Program Interface

Winscp has two interfaces for you to choose from.

You can select your preferred page during installation or change the settings later.

If you are using winscp for the first time, we recommend that you select Windows Explorer, because Windows users are familiar with this interface. Of course, if you are used to the Norton Commander style, choose the Norton Commander interface, which focuses on convenient keyboard operations and allows you to perform operations faster without the mouse.
