What to do if a print task cannot be deleted under Windows XP

Click "Start" → "Control Panel" → "performance and Maintenance" → "management Tools" → "Service" → "Print Spooler".

Click "Stop this Service" on the left to stop the printer service.

Click "Start" → "Run" and enter: Spool in the command line of the Run window. Click on the "Confirm" button to open the "spool" folder;

In the spool folder, double-click to open the PRINTERS folder;

Delete all files in the "PRINTERS" folder;

Go back to the Services window and click "Start this service" on the left to restart the print service.

Check the print queue to confirm that the print task has been cleared.

Easy way:

Copy the following commands to a text file.

NET STOP SPOOLER

DEL C:/windows/system32/spool/printers/*.*/f/q

NET START SPOOLER

Then change the extension of the text file to bat and double-click Execute to OK
