What to do if the router tplink882 dial-up connection

Routers tplink882 dial-up connections are not resolved:

Broadband Line (household network cable or from "cat" out of the network cable) to be connected to the router's WAN, wired computer connected to any one LAN port, and observe the confirmation LED is normal, the following figure:

Note: Some of the router's LEDs are in the upper-left corner of the cable connector.

If the line is connected correctly but the WAN port LEDs are not lit, check the WAN port wiring for bad contact, and try replacing the network cable that connects the WAN port.

Log on to the router management interface, in the running state >> Wan port status, to confirm that the WAN port Internet access for PPPoE dial-up. If this is not normal, follow the Setup Wizard again to set up the router.

In the router's management interface click Run Status >> Wan port status, if the WAN port does not get the IP address, the page will have the reason for the failure of the dial, please click to see Help, according to the Help content prompts the resolution of the troubleshooting. As shown in the following illustration:

Dialing failure prompts if the password validation fails, please confirm the Broadband account password (note that the letter is case-sensitive) and follow the Setup Wizard again.

Note: Some routers do not have this prompt, do not troubleshoot this step.

Connect a computer connected to a broadband Internet connection before the router LAN port (this must be via a wired connection) and log in to the router's admin interface.

Select Network parameters >> MAC address clone, click Clone MAC address. When the MAC address is the same as the MAC address of the current management PC, click Save and restart the router. As shown in the following illustration:

Observe whether the WAN port can successfully obtain the IP address after the router restarts.

Household network cable due to aging, poor quality or too long line, resulting in line attenuation is too large, so that the number of the dial is unsuccessful. Try to adjust the speed and duplex mode of the router's WAN port.

Setup method: Login Router management interface, click Network parameters >> Wan Port rate mode, choose 10Mbps half-duplex or 10Mbps full-duplex mode in the mode setting, click Save, as shown in the following image:

Note: Some routers or some software versions do not support adjusting the WAN port rate mode, and you can try to upgrade the router software version.

In the Router management interface, click Run Status, record the device software and hardware version, and then download the corresponding hardware version of the latest software on the Tp-link official website. The following figure:

Download way: In the official website search bar in the upper right-hand corner enter your product model, click Search:

Click to download, you can see the software version, select the corresponding hardware version of the latest software download.

Follow the software upgrade instructions after downloading.

If the problem remains unresolved after you follow the above troubleshooting, log on to the router management interface to select System Tools >> system logs, click to save all the logs, and save the log to your computer desktop, as shown below:

Computers are connected to broadband Internet access, the system log sent to the router manufacturer designated mailbox for support, or to call the router manufacturer for technical support.
