When Outlook encounters 0x8004010f, we solve this problem.

I came to the office on Monday and habitually opened Outlook, F9, and synchronized emails ...... A warning pops up:
Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x8004010F): The operation failed. An object cocould not be found.
It was a little confusing when something went wrong. What is it? Start with the error message.

Multiple tools are available on the Exchange Server optical disk, and error.exe is a typical fault. Enter the error code after the error command line to get the error message.
D:> error 0x8004010f
Error-2147221233 (0x8004010f) = ecNotFound-MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND
This error indicates that the MAPI component is missing. But still do not know the problem. Above KB!
Aspx? Scid = kb; zh-cn; 289969 "> http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx? Scid = kb; zh-cn; 289969
It turns out to be an offline address book problem.

After consulting with CXJ, I got a general solution for similar faults:
1. First, please tell me how many Exchange servers are there in your network, and what versions are there respectively?
2. Right-click "Mailbox storage" under the storage group> "properties"> confirm that "offline address list" is correctly configured. If no settings are set, click "Browse" to correct them.
3. expand "offline address list" under "recipient"-> right-click "Default offline address list"-> "property"-> confirm whether "offline address list server" is a valid Server. Restart the offline address list server, unmount "public folder storage", mount it again, and try to recreate the "Default offline address list ".
4. on the offline Address list server, right-click "public folder" under "folder"-> "view system folder"-> Expand "offline Address Book" and Right-click all the sub-items under it-> "property"-> "copy"-> check whether the local machine is listed in the list above.

Because it is a production environment, I have no major actions. Create an offline Address Book (OAL), set it as the default OAL. When you reselect an offline address list server, the system reports an error:
"The requested operation does not meet one or more constraints related to the object category"
Facility: LDAP Provider
ID No.: 80072014
Exchange System Manager

It is estimated that it is a problem with LDAP connections. Time is too short to go further. Rebuild the default offline address book and set it to the default OAL. Outlook reconnects to Excahnge Server 2000 to eliminate the fault.

This Bug is hard to see on Exchange Server 2003. It is estimated that it has been fixed in the code.

Supplement Byicuc88:
This problem seems to be solved by directly rebuild offline address book list.
I have met the test environment and then rebuild it directly.
