When you use a domain management account to connect to TFS or git, set IE to allow Cookies, tfsgit

In a Windows domain environment, each project team creates a project management account. when interacting with other project teams, you only need to grant the corresponding permissions to the project management account, this facilitates permission management. For the project team management account: domain \ admin, this domain account is granted the Administrator permission to log on to all servers of the project team and access all databases, while the permissions of common members are limited.

1. During project development, you sometimes need to switch from a common member to a domain management account.

In this example, VS2015 is used to demonstrate switching from a common member to a domain management account and step by step.

Step 1Hover the mouse over the Icon in Visual Studio 2015 on Taskbar, right-click, and a shortcut menu is displayed.

Step 2Hover the mouse over the shortcut menu, hold down the shift key, and right-click the shortcut menu,

Step 3Click Run as different user to bring up Windows Security. after entering the windows domain account and password, you can Run VS2015 as a domain account.

2. log on with a project management account and set the IE browser to allow Cookies

By default, the security level of IE browser in Windows Server is relatively high. Cookies are disabled by default. If Visual Studio is enabled in Windows Server, TFS, or git is connected, sometimes a security problem occurs:

Your browser is currently set to block cookies.

To solve this problem, you must set Internet Explorer to allow cookies. Because VS2005 runs as a domain administrator account, you must open Internet Explorer with a domain administrator account and set Internet Explorer to allow Cookies, if you use an ordinary member account to open IE by mistake, setting IE to allow Cookies does not actually affect the IE settings of the domain administrator.

Step 1To open IE with the domain administrator account. refer to the previous section;

Step 2Open the IE settings menu, open Internet Options, and switch to the Privacy Tab.

Step 3, Click the Advanced button, set to allow Cookies, and restart IE
