Why C # does not provide "default parameters"

On the forum, I often see whether there is a default parameter in C #. In the blog of C # Team, I saw an article by Eric Gunnerson about Why doesn't C # support default parameters?

After reading it, I thought that when I used Reflector to decompile the ToString function of Int32, the three overloaded function codes were:

public override string ToString()
{
      return this.ToString(null, null);
}
public string ToString(string format)
{
      return this.ToString(format, null);
}
public string ToString(string format, IFormatProvider provider)
{
      return Number.FormatInt32(this.m_value, format,
           NumberFormatInfo.GetInstance(provider));
}

At that time, I just wanted this definition to reduce the amount of code and compare it with the default parameter, but I didn't expect it to be related to the default parameter.
