Fault symptom:
IE10 cannot be started when you click any link in Windows 8. If the following conditions are met, the above problems will occur:
1. The User Account Control function will be disabled.
2. The system enables Internet Explorer 10 when you click the link.
Cause analysis:
This problem occurs when Windows storage applications cannot enable or disable the User Account Control function.
Pay attention to User Account Control. You can select a method to notify you of system changes made by the relevant program. In the control panel, or a notification window is displayed during the installation of the program, you can perform this setting. If you disable User Account Control, no notification window is displayed.
Solution:
To solve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Start screen;
2. Type control panel;
3. Click the control panel icon on the left of the screen;
4. On the control panel, click system and security, and then click modify user control settings;
5. Move the slider to specify the notification you want to receive, and then click OK.
Note: If the system prompts you to enter the administrator password or confirm the password, enter the password or confirm the password.
