Why does Setup not install Windows XP

Q: I recently purchased a branded computer and, in order to save money, did not let the computer company pre-installed the operating system, I myself when I installed Windows XP, I ran the SETUP.EXE file on the installation disc but could not install the system. Excuse me, what's going on, how can I install the Windows XP operating system normally?

A: Because Windows XP cannot be installed directly in DOS, the SETUP.EXE file does not function properly and should be installed as follows.

1. Look for a file named SMARTDRV.EXE on another computer and copy the file to the system boot floppy disk.

2. Start the computer with the boot floppy and run the SMARTDRV.EXE file win7.

3. Run the WINNT.EXE file installation system under the I386 subdirectory of the CD.
