Q: The control button in the upper right corner of the window (Maximize, restore, minimize, close), all become garbled. Even, some of the other buttons have become garbled, how to do?

A: We propose to address the following three areas:

1. Restart the computer, when the "Starting Windows 98 ..." appears, press the "F8" key, select "Safe Mode" in the boot menu to enter Safe mode, and then restart the computer to try again.

2. If the problem is not resolved, open the Resource Manager, remove the hidden file called Ttfcatche in the C:windows directory, and restart the computer.

3. Actually see the button symbol, is saved in the C:windowsfont under the Marlett.ttf font file. When this font is corrupted or disappears, those button symbols will naturally become garbled. You can try copying this font from another computer.
