WIN10 user logon error times and locking settings diagram

1, in the system "Start---run (input gpedit.msc)---" will enter into the System Group Policy interface;

2, then in the Open interface click "Computer Configuration---Windows Settings---security settings," as shown in the following figure, details are shown below;

3, Next we expand the security settings under the Account policy, under Account policy to find account lockout policy, and left-click "Account lockout Strategy";

4, in the Account lockout policy corresponding to the right window, we left-click the "Account lockout threshold";

5, in the Account Lockout threshold Properties window, we put the number of passwords entered into the limit of 5 times, if 5 input password error, will lock the computer (the number of input from our own decision), and then click "Application";

Description: This security setting determines the number of failed logon attempts that caused the user account to be locked. The locked account cannot be used until the administrator resets the lockout account or the account lockout time expires. You can set the number of failed logon attempts to a value between 0 and 999. If you set the value to 0, the account will never be locked.

6, click the application, pop up a proposed value change window, if 5 input password error, will be in 30 minutes to re-enter the password; if we want to reset the account lockout counter, it will take 30 minutes to execute. Click OK;

7, back to the Account Lockout threshold Properties window, we click OK;

8, back to the Local Group Policy Editor window, visible:

Account lockout time 30 minutes

Account lockout threshold 5 Invalid Login

Reset account lockout counter 30 minutes later

Exits the local Group Policy Editor.
